Stop Blindness With Breakfast

Protein found in some leafy greens, like spinach, and also found in eggs have been shown to prevent the most common onset of blindness. Researchers say it's the two nutrients in them, lutein and zeaxanthin, are both carotenoids — compounds that give many fruits and vegetables a yellow color. A full list of the foods that are considered good sources of the nutrients include eggs, spinach, kale, turnip greens, collard greens, romaine lettuce, broccoli, zucchini, corn, garden peas and Brussels sprouts.
