A Crooked Winery Offers Simple Elegance
Crooked Vine Winery offers gracious hospitality to go along with an exquisite environment for visitors.

Inspired by the vines and nurtured by a family, Crooked Vine Winery deserves to be noticed. The winery is owned by the Corbett family, who first established Del Arroyo Vineyard at the top of Crane Ridge in Livermore Valley in 1995. The 180-acre California estate vineyard is one of the region’s top producers, but what’s more important to the Corbetts is that it yields more than 16 varieties—all of exceptional quality, from Malvasia Bianca to Petite Sirah.

Owner Rick Corbett’s son, Eric, manages the vineyard as well as the winery. Eric feels fortunate to have the support of Consulting Winemaker Ken Deis, whose distinguished history as a winemaker includes 30 years in the Napa Valley. Together they collaborate to craft distinctive wines worthy of the Crooked Vine label. If the judges have anything to say about it, they make a great team. For example, in the 2013 San Francisco Wine Competition, the 2010 Crooked Vine Del Arroyo Pinot Noir was awarded a Double Gold medal: a rare accomplishment for a Pinot Noir grown in Livermore Valley.

Happily, the winery’s success has not gone to anyone’s head. The tasting room, located in the heart of Livermore wine country, is a pure expression of simple elegance with a backyard feel. Daylight pours through the south facing windows of its cheerful and intimate tasting room. Guests often step out back to admire the beautifully landscaped grounds and stunning views of the valley and vineyards. In fact, with the help of its dedicated on-site event manager, Crooked Vine Winery creates an exquisite environment for a wide range of private events for up to 200 guests. Settings include a lush lawn ceremony site with a rustic wooden gazebo, a romantic garden courtyard, and a fragrant barrel room. Each occasion is a unique wine country experience graced with warm hospitality, a genuine family feel, and the distinctive award-winning wines of Crooked Vine Winery.
