Celebrity Nurseries That You Can Easily Copy at Home
Putting together a great looking nursery is one of the fun activities soon-to-be parents can bond over while they await their new family member.

Congratulations! The pregnancy test came back positive, and now you and your sweetie are eagerly awaiting the birth of your new little one. In addition to being super excited to be parents, you are both looking forward to decorating a room in your home exclusively for your baby.

While you know you could always do a basic paint job, add in a crib and some cute furniture and call it a day, you want this room to be really special. As someone who likes following a number of celebrities, you would like your baby’s nursery to resemble what one of the stars has created for her infant.

Fortunately, it is not that difficult to create a star-worthy nursery at a price that won’t break the bank. Check out the following celebrity nursery ideas below and get creating!

Channel Your Inner Kardashian

As Parents Online notes, Kourtney Kardashian went all out to make her daughter, Penelope’s, nursery look like a room fit for a princess. The reality star applied rose-colored wallpaper on the ceiling, and added a turquoise-beaded chandelier to add enough light to the room for those evening readings of "Goodnight Moon." The walls were painted a lovely shade of pink and there is a pink patterned rug on the floor for Miss Penelope to play on.

If you would like to copy this elegant look, start by shopping for a bassinet with a Princess look—a great example is the Badget Basket’s Empress Bassinet. Priced at around $90, this bassinet features pink bedding with white pleats, a floor-length pleated skirt and a ruffled drape canopy that hangs down from a halo canopy frame at the top of a pole. Pair this celebrity-chic bassinet with a large funky chandelier in an opposite color and add some patterned wallpaper to the ceiling and your nursery will definitely have a Kardashian vibe.

Bright Colors Adorn Tori Spelling’s Son’s Nursery

Who says nurseries have to be about pale pastels? Tori Spelling used a vintage giraffe figurine for the inspiration for her son Finn’s nursery. The room features plenty of orange and turquoise touches, as well as a modern-day approach to a traditional jungle theme. The nursery includes lots of giraffe items and a hand-made macramé mobile hanging over the crib that mama Spelling made herself. If you are not the crafty type, check out Etsy for a handmade macramé mobile that comes in a number of colors, including green, peach and light teal. You could choose a jungle or other animal that you really love as the main theme for the nursery along with bright shades for the walls and crib bedding.

Go ‘Eco-Chic’ Like Jessica Alba

Celebrity nurseries don’t always have to involve plenty of bling and fancy-pants furniture. As BabyGaga.com notes, when she was expecting her daughter Haven, Jessica Alba went for a bright and modern look that is free of harsh chemicals or toxic materials. The room features a simple but gorgeous tree and bird mural that would not be difficult to paint in your baby’s room, along with pops of blues and pinks in bright shades. Alba, who is the co-founder of eco-baby company The Honest Company, added an oversized comfy chair and ottoman for late-night feedings, and the entire nursery has a clean and light vibe to it.

Pregnancy is such an exciting time, and decorating the nursery is a joyous occasion that you and your spouse can do together. It is reassuring to know that you can emulate a celebrity look for your baby’s nursery at a reasonable cost that won’t break the piggy bank.
