 Wendy is an entrepreneur with a mission: to encourage sustainable loving relationships with both real tools that allow you to keep loving, even when relationships are most challenging by providing healthy love products to inspire the lover in all of us. Wendy is a loveologist who writes and lectures on Making Love Sustainable, a green philosophy of relationships which teaches the importance of valuing the renewable resources of love and family. She has learned that physical intimacy is an important component of sustaining healthy loving relationships through her own marriage of over 24 years. Wendy has studied natural health care and has used homeopathic remedies, aromatherapy and energy healing techniques with her four children, family and friends for the last 20 years. She formulated her Good Clean Love products to meet a personal need for healthy lubrication products after the births of her 3rd and 4th child. She researches and advises on a range of healthy products for enhanced intimacy and provides information on the negative health impacts of many of the petrochemical ingredients found in common over the counter intimacy products. As a former peace activist and educator, Wendy believes that her work at Good Clean Love is the most grounded approach to peace that she can take. “If we can’t learn to love and respect the people that we are closest to, how can we ever learn to love those who are different from us. Intimate relationships are the most gentle gift we can be given to teach us how to love- they are not there to make us happy and they are not easy, but they are the foundation of how we grow most deeply. “ Starting a product business in America is really challenging but the testimonial letters, call and emails that we get keep us going. The sexuality industry in this country is such a bizarre reflection of what is so basic and human in us. Pornography has totally usurped the language of intimacy. I feel like I am inventing a language to give intimacy back to the people, take the fear away and open a space for physical love to serve as the glue that holds relationships together. “We don’t sell sex products, we sell love products. “ It is an entirely different industry and one that could stand some serious growth. Wendy studies physical intimacy across history and cultures. Her educational efforts are aimed at creating a culture which allows for normal, healthy sexual drive and exploration to flourish. Physical love is a mystery of epic proportion. There is no other single act at our disposal that has the power to so unite and fuse two people so completely that it transforms them and how they relate. Wendy has a Masters degree in Organizational Development and Training and has taught personal development/career workshops for many years. She spent years in education reform and was a founder of two alternative educational charter schools. Most recently, the project to start the first publicly funded Children's Peace Academy in Oregon inspired her to start a for profit business to fund the work of teaching peace to children. Wendy lives in Eugene, Oregon with her husband, a psychiatrist, and their four children ages 9-18. |
